Field Service Engineer – Southern England/East Anglia/Central London

The Position:

We are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer whose prime responsibility will be to complete machine commissioning, customer training, maintenance service visits and technical support of new and existing installations.
The successful candidate will cover a large territory across Southern England/East Anglia and Central London with occasional requirement to assist in other parts of the UK. Overnight stays away from home during the week are expected and travel to our company HQ in Austria for a two week basic training course will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning and customer training of software and machine systems.
  • Service and repair of high end CNC laser engraving/cutting machines
  • Fault finding on all products
  • Bespoke customer training on existing equipment
  • Documentation of service and installation visits
  • Servicing of equipment (at customer premises)
  • Fault diagnostics (Machinery and Software)
  • Customer Technical support
  • Customer Training

Requirements:

  • Experience in Computerised electro-mechanical equipment
  • Experience in Engineering, Product Design, CAE, Electrical Engineering or similar,
  • Competence in the use of graphics or CAD software,
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently from their vehicle with limited day to day direct supervision,
  • Field service experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and professional manner,
  • Full, clean and current driving license (essential)
  • A willingness to travel (must have a valid passport)
  • Willingness to undertake staff training and development as required
  • Passionate about new technology
