Our client are a global and established manufacturer with an excellent reputation. They are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to lead the Purchasing team.
The Company:

The company is a profitable SME, with a turnover of £7 million who have a proven track record of sustainable growth. You will be working closely with a dynamic team of managers and form part of the operations management team.

The Position:

We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to lead and manage a small team (Buyer, Purchasing Administrator and Goods Inward Coordinator) handle a spend of £2 million across all areas and will be responsible for stock (currently at a value of £1million).

The working hours are 39 a week however the company offer flexible core hours

Requirements:

  • Previous demonstrable man-management experience
  • 3 years + managing a procurement function successfully
  • Experience of working with an MRP
  • CIPS qualification (desirable)

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage the supply chain – supplier performance measurement
  • Visiting key suppliers (overseas travel will be expected)
  • Ensure all purchasing activities are delivered on time and in full
  • Involved with new product introduction
