The Position:

We’re looking for a Software Engineer responsible for the development of existing and future products focusing on innovating new concepts and providing technical support for existing and new products.

The pay range offered is circa £35,000

  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Ability to work on multiple project simultaneously
  • Network communications, IP based systems, software integration
  • Test Driven Development


  • Minimum 2 years of LabVIEW development experience
  • Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification
  • Experience using test instrumentation and control components (pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers)
  • Understanding of basic computer networking (TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls)
  • Ability to learn new skills, programming languages and applications quickly (C++, XML, JSON, .NET, OOP, Databases)
  • Data transformation and manipulation (SQL, SSIS)


  • Maintain Source control according to company standards
  • Review and understand all current systems, internal and outsourced
  • Producing detailed specifications and writing high quality code by utilising the latest engineering best practices and tools
  • Develop user interfaces with consideration for the interaction between users and process
  • Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live, in accordance with QA standards
  • Preparation of training manuals for customers and internal staff
  • Maintaining of the systems once they are up and running
  • Provide technical support to both customers and employees [technical tickets, procedure]
  • Improve and develop test, installation and commissioning procedures
  • Report writing
  • Software development in line with current projects
  • Understanding of control engineering and control systems
  • Integration of new features into existing systems
  • Full life cycle software development
  • Create and maintain software development standards
