Project Sourcing Manager
Due to growth in the business a new role for Project Sourcing Manager is available for a large manufacturing business in County Durham.
The role of Project Sourcing Manager will be responsible for being the Project Sourcing lead within New Product Development, driving supplier related activities to ensure projects are launched on time, with quality and within cost. This role will be to complement the existing team, focusing on continuous improvements in cost, quality, flexibility and innovation within the supplier base.
A critical part of the job is to manage RFQ submissions, have close strategic alignment within Global Sourcing, R&D, factory teams and suppliers as well as attending collective forums for sourcing representation and driving activities.
The successful candidate will have worked for a high volume manufacturing business previously, have a background in contract negotiation, RFQ process, project management, risk management and supply market analysis. The post holder will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering or Supply Chain, Logistics.
