It’s hardworking, but collaborative, open and honest. Everyone in the team gets on, genuinely, and the staff are the most important element of our business.
We’ve worked hard to bring people who share the same traits and values into the business. There are no mavericks, all the staff work well together and want others to succeed. We don’t ‘hit people with sticks’, you know if you have targets to meet– you don’t need someone to tell you. We prefer to work with people if there’s an issue to try to understand why that is, and how we can turn it around.
The office is fun – dart board, footie net, music – it’s all part of our culture and we love it. Working hard shouldn’t have to be boring – recruitment is stressful enough!
We have external and internal training. Everyone new in the business goes through a project where they will learn their trade and the specific desk. We drip-feed them many aspects of the job over an eight-week period, including a training qualification from Hannah Keep where they will get letters by their name. We believe in training 100% and invest in it every year. Recruitment is changing all the time, so we need to be agile and keep learning
We have huge plans. We believe in all of our staff having the opportunity to progress and develop internally. It would be great to see and our junior recruiters having the opportunity to be future directors of the business one day. Progression is probably one of the biggest selling points of the job in terms of where we are right now.
I would love them to say the management team… but it’s more likely the 2.30pm Friday finish! We also offer our team lunch clubs, weekly competitions with top biller prizes reaching 10k.
You make your own luck. You can be unlucky in certain situations, but nothing beats hard work, and you get out what you put in. This job is open to anyone from any walk of life or previous experience to come in, work hard and make a massive career for themselves.
